Come and join our vibrant Youth community theatre group in the heart of Exeter.

At ELTC we foster and celebrate our young talented performers. During our weekly classes students will have the opportunity to develop and explore a variety of performance skills. They will engage in interactive theatre games, improvisation exercises, devising, script exploration, directing, writing, leadership skills and the fundamentals of collaborating creatively as a team. Our aim is for students to build their confidence and allow their performance skills to thrive amongst a welcoming supportive atmosphere within our theatre community. Our youth group members have the opportunity to audition to be cast and perform in our main stage productions and end of year show/pantomime. They are an integral part of the ELTC family and are nurtured to build lifelong connections within the society.

ELTC Youth Drama Facilitator Mai-Lin Hagiwara is a Freelance Theatre practitioner and Movement Director/Choreographer who started ELTC Youth Company back in 2018, eager to develop the younger talent within the ELTC company. Originally trained in Australia as a young actor at NIDA and at the QLD Conservatorium of Music. A graduate in Creative Industries and Senior Education at QUT. Since graduating Mai-lin has had years of experience leading co-curricular Drama programmes at various schools and talent agency companies whilst engaging in dance/theatre projects. Since moving to Exeter Mai-lin has worked on a variety of theatre and dance projects within the community of Exeter and Theatre Royal Plymouth.
